Ryan Drysch and Liam Drysch did some serious damage despite the final result: Ryan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one double, while Liam went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Liam has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, ITW David Speer Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Noble Street College Prep by a score of 15-14. Even though they lost, the Pride's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.9 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Santiago Lopez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. He also scored three runs, which is notable because ITW David Speer Academy is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Alexander Roman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
Golder's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for ITW David Speer Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Golder has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like ITW David Speer Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
