After flying high against the Mountain View Academy Mustangs last Thursday, the North Valley Baptist Bulldogs came back down to earth. North Valley Baptist was dealt a 75-46 loss at the hands of More on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Valley Baptist has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why North Valley Baptist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Lopez. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dominic Lara, who scored 11 points.
It was another big night for Tim Selway, who shot 5-for-11 from deep and dropped a double-double on 31 points and 15 rebounds for More. Selway is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Vince Cortese was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with two steals.
North Valley Baptist's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for More, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
