Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boulder). They came out on top against Horizon by a score of 14-9 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Nick Dubofsky looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Boulder got a massive performance out of Gavin Nguyen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs Nguyen has posted since back in May of 2024. Maks Matheson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Boulder hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Boulder, their record now sits at 5-7.
