Basketball Game Preview: Bunker Hill Bears vs. Lincolnton Wolves

Bunker Hill and Lincolnton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Bunker Hill Bears will welcome the Lincolnton Wolves at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Bunker Hill is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Bunker Hill came up short against South Iredell on Tuesday, falling 58-36.

Bunker Hill's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rachel Beck, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards, and Addalie Cox, who posted four points and seven rebounds. Beck is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Lincolnton won against Shelby on Tuesday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Lincolnton took down A.L. Brown 45-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Lincolnton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Bunker Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Bunker Hill strolled past Lincolnton in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 46-32. Will Bunker Hill repeat their success, or does Lincolnton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
