The Franklin County Wildcats will head out to square off against the Batesville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Franklin County has four straight victories, Batesville has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Franklin County is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing North Decatur: they outscored them in every quarter. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 30-6 margin over the Chargers on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Wyatt Bowling continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 155 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 271 yards while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those 271 passing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Bowling's aerial production (102 yards to be exact) went to Mason Wewe.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Franklin County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 201 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Batesville came up short against Connersville on Friday and fell 41-34.
Franklin County will have to contain Zadiin Small as he made an impact in Batesville's last game. He rushed for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Small also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Batesville is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise.
Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Franklin County, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Franklin County has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 396.6 total yards per game. It's a different story for Batesville, though, as they've been averaging only 227.7 total yards. Will Franklin County be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Bulldogs flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Franklin County against Batesville in their previous meeting last Friday, as the squad secured a 49-6 victory. In that matchup, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 28-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
