Baseball Recap: Lakota's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lakota extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 10-8 in the process. They came out on top against the St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Panthers back in April, they had to take a 17-4 defeat.

Lakota saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Kern, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave Kern a new career-high. Another was AJ Gosche, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

On St. Mary Central Catholic's side, Grant Swain was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double. Austin Gill also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
