Ryan Birch posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
