This season hasn't been kind to the Downsville Demons, who are still winless after their 18th game. They took a serious blow against Calvin on Friday, falling 50-10. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Downsville has scored all season.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Zander King and
Miles Sotello, who each put up three points.
John Hutson held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
Downsville's loss was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-18. As for Calvin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.
Downsville will be playing in front of their home fans against Family Community Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Family Community Christian has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Calvin, they will head out on the road to square off against Saline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saline is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
