Mesa had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-12 to make it nine. They lost 21-6 to the Westwood Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 two weeks ago.

As for Westwood, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Westwood's side, Ava Sharpe was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Sharpe was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilly Hutchison, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.
