Malone hasn't had much luck against Vernon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Malone Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Vernon Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Malone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row dating back to last season, Malone turned things around against Poplar Springs on Friday. They blew past the Atomics 20-3. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024.

A Wesley was a standout: she scored four runs and stole Seven bases. while going 3-for-3. Wesley is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Larae Baxter, who scored three runs and stole Seven bases. while going 3-for-3.

Malone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .765. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to Ponce De Leon.

Cheyenne Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Roche, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Malone's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Malone has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 25.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Vernon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
