If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Unity. They will challenge Cornell/Lake Holcombe on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Each team will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Unity skips in on five wins and Cornell/Lake Holcombe on four.
Unity won against Clear Lake last Friday with 31 points, and Unity decided to stick to that point total again last Saturday. Unity took their contest against Clear Lake by a conclusive 31-8 score. Unity were putting the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season.
Meanwhile, everything went Cornell/Lake Holcombe's way against Pepin/Alma as they made off with a 38-14 win.
Their wins bumped Unity to 5-0 and Cornell/Lake Holcombe to 4-0. With both Cornell/Lake Holcombe and Unity swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
