The Crittenden County Rockets pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 79-56 defeat at the hands of Calloway County. Crittenden County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-24.
Calloway County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaidan Koch led the charge by scoring 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Koch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Sayler Lowe was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds.
Crittenden County are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10. As for Calloway County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crittenden County will take on Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Calloway County, they will be playing at home against Marshall County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Calloway County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
