McPherson extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 4-0 in the process. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mulvane Wildcats a 4-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Bullpups, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Addison Chapman, who gave up just three hits to keep Mulvane off the board.

At the plate, McPherson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynedi Huggard, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Another was Haely Hagemann, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

As for Mulvane, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Mulvane's side, Sophie Bruce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

McPherson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
