Pavilion can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 45-43 win from a begrudging Golden Gophers squad. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Avon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maria Geary, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. The match was Geary's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Lauren Hill was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Pavilion's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Avon, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Pavilion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-26 win against Mount Morris on the 20th. As for Avon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-28 defeat against Whitman on the 20th.
