Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Jay Royals, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 31-13 to Northview. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jay in their matchups with Northview: they've now lost nine in a row.
Although Jay took the loss, they still got scores from Ethan McDonald and Brock Stout.
It was another big night for Joe Wright v, who rushed for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Wright v was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Another player making a difference was Devin Kelly, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Jay's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Jay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northview will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Bozeman will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
