The Harding Raiders and the Sharon Tigers will round out the year against one another at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday at. Hopefully Harding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Friday.
Harding pushed their score all the way to 76, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 85-76 to Washington. While losing is never fun, Harding can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Washington is ranked eighth).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ny Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Naujeat Jones, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Harding were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sharon put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Fairview 53-36. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Sharon has scored all season.
Harding's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Sharon, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
