The Ashley Hall Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 35-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Academic Magnet. If Ashley Hall was looking for revenge after losing 40-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Academic Magnet got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lindsey Griffin out in front who scored eight points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Reuben, who scored four points along with 20 rebounds.
Ashley Hall dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Academic Magnet, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
Ashley Hall will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. As for Academic Magnet, they will head out on the road to take on the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Lake Marion is ranked 173rd, while the Raptors are ranked 195th).
