Baseball Recap: Webutuck Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Webutuck waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Ellenville Blue Devils. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Eric Golden was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jayden Avery also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Webutuck's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season. As for Ellenville, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Webutuck will square off against Highland at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellenville, they will challenge Livingston Manor at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
