The Tattnall Square Academy Trojans came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 63-59 victory over Trinity Christian on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tattnall Square Academy found their leader in underclassman Whit Davidson, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davidson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Antone Johnson, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Trinity Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lincoln Harper. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. Harper hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Hayden Clay was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Tattnall Square Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Tattnall Square Academy will head out on the road to face off against Mount de Sales Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian, they will take on Windsor Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Windsor Academy likes a good challenge.
