The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, who took down 138th ranked Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, 29-12.
Cazenovia extended the longest winning streak in Section 3 Class B - East this week by beating Mexico, 41-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Lakers.
Oneida's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rory McCarthy threw for 119 and two touchdowns and Kyle Peck had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Dylan Cafalone chipped in 194 yards. Justin Klossner helped Oneida's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Oneida's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McCarthy has thrown for 415 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Peck has 19 catches for 315 yards. Cafalone leads the league in rushing with 665 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cazenovia takes on South Jefferson. At the moment, Tom Niedl's team is in first, while the Spartans are in sixth.
