The Woodmont Wildcats''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 34-21 win over Mauldin. The victory was just what Woodmont needed coming off of a 64-25 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tavorace Williams, who rushed for 165 yards. Caleb Smith did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Woodmont's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Mauldin, their defeat was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10.
Woodmont is on the road again on Friday and play against Clover at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Clover is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. Mauldin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
