Even though the Inman Inman Teutons have not done well against the Moundridge Wildcats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Inman snuck past Moundridge with a 42-38 victory. This was payback for Inman, who suffered a 57-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, Moundridge saw an underclassman step up: Hattie Hecox scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Cammi Unruh was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals and two blocks.
Inman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season. As for Moundridge, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inman on the road again on Tuesday and play against Berean Academy on January 30th. Berean Academy's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Inman's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Moundridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Ell-Saline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
