Sand Creek put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Centaurus Warriors 60-38. Considering the Scorpions have won six contests by more than 21  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Ethan Mangrum was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 282 yards and five  touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional  for a while as that marked his 17th straight game with at least 100  rushing yards dating back to last season.  Achilles Evans helped out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sand Creek was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 615  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 184  rushing yards in 18 consecutive  games  dating back to last season.
 Sand Creek's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out  Carson Thomas four times. Leading the way was  Evans with  two sacks.
Sand Creek's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Centaurus,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-4.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sand Creek is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Grand Junction  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,071 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Centaurus will  square off against  rival Thornton  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
