It was fun while it lasted, but Encampment's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Friday. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Cyclones. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Southeast was led to victory by Ayden Desmond and TJ Moats. Desmond almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Moats dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most rebounds Moats has posted since back in December of 2023.

Having lost for the first time this season, Encampment fell to 5-1. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Encampment won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lingle-Fort Laramie at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Lingle-Fort Laramie will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Encampment surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southeast, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-32 victory against Rock River on the 20th.
