Van Vleck is 10-0 against Brazos since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Van Vleck Leopards will look to defend their home court against the Brazos Cougars at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Van Vleck focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Van Vleck scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They blew past Harmony School of Discovery 82-41 on the road. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Van Vleck with their most commanding win of the season.
Corey Austin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Micah Burks, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Brazos' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-24 loss at the hands of Hitchcock. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brazos has scored all season.
Van Vleck is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Brazos, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14.
