Stratton will face off against Eads at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stratton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Stratton took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Cheyenne Wells, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Stratton's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Von Isenbart, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Isenbart has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Dominic Hornung also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Eads put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Evangel Christian Academy. That's two games straight that Eads has won by exactly six runs.
Johnathan Vasquez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Spencer Uhland was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Eads was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive games.
Eads' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Stratton, their record is now 3-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stratton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. However, it's not like Eads struggles in that department as they've averaged .547. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stratton might still be hurting after the 13-5 defeat they got from Eads when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Stratton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
