The Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2023 on Monday. They claimed a resounding 73-36 win over Encinal on the road. Given Archie Williams' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Encinal is ranked 926th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Owen Bugas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Gabe Cerio was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Archie Williams has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Encinal, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Archie Williams won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Terra Linda at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Terra Linda is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Encinal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Eden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
