Minco is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Casady is on a four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Minco Bulldogs will take on the Casady Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Minco strolled past Crescent with points to spare, taking the game 26-7.
Minco had a senior duo take command as Jake Carruth rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry and Jayden Sayarath rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Minco's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Crescent's QB won't forget Ashton Taylor anytime soon given Taylor sacked him six times.
Meanwhile, Casady owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance two weeks ago. They took down Guymon 17-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Casady was the (much) better team in the second half.
Minco's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Casady, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Minco didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Casady when the teams last played back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 34-28 victory. Will Minco repeat their success, or does Casady have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
