The Kokomo Wildkats posted their biggest victory since December 15, 2023 on Wednesday. They blew past Taylor 65-34 at home. Given Kokomo's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Taylor is ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ma'Kaela Drake was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Aviannah Pollard was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Kokomo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Taylor, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Kokomo will head out on the road to take on Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Richmond and Kokomo are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Taylor, they will be playing at home against North Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
