The Manchester Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 71-44 stomp they got at home against Hall. The victory was just what Manchester needed coming off of a 74-49 defeat in their prior matchup.
Tiara Tyson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with five rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Manchester's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Lawrence, who scored 12 points.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hall, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will play host again and welcome East Catholic, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (East Catholic is ranked 42nd, while Manchester is ranked 41st). As for Hall, they will be playing at home against Northwest Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Catholic and Hall are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
