Having just played yesterday, the Countryside Christian Minutemen will head out on the road to face off against the Cedar Key Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Countryside Christian and 15 for Cedar Key.
Countryside Christian suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Saint Francis Catholic, falling 73-36. Countryside Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-20.
Meanwhile, Cedar Key suffered a tough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Meadowbrook Academy last Tuesday.
Countryside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cedar Key, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Countryside Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cedar Key in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 45-40 win.
