The Falcon Christian Academy Warriors put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 102-19 victory over Varsity Opponent at home. Considering Falcon Christian Academy has won six matches by more than 40 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Falcon Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demetrius McDaniel, who scored 27 points along with three steals. The game was McDaniel's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan McMillian, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists.
Falcon Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.27 points. As for Varsity Opponent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 20 of their last 21 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 175-648-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Falcon Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on American Leadership Academy-Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. American Leadership Academy-Johnston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while Falcon Christian Academy is ranked 156th). Varsity Opponent's road trip will continue as they head out to face Life Center Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 19th. Life Center Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Varsity Opponent likes a good challenge.
