The Weimar Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fayetteville Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weimar will be strutting in after a victory while Fayetteville will be coming in after a defeat.
Weimar waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Nordheim, posting a 61-14 victory on the road.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville ended up a good deal behind Iola on Tuesday and lost 57-42. Fayetteville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fayetteville's loss came about despite a quality game from Marissa Rohde, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds. Rohde is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Dyer, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists.
Weimar's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fayetteville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Everything came up roses for Weimar against Fayetteville in their previous meeting back in December of 2020 as the team secured a 51-23 win. Will Weimar repeat their success, or does Fayetteville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
