Softball Recap: Boyertown Wins Going Away Against Norristown

Boyertown got themselves on the board against Norristown on Wednesday, but Norristown never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Boyertown got a massive performance out of Kyra Neiswender, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Neiswender a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Wilson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Boyertown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.

Boyertown's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Norristown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Boyertown is set to take on their familiar foe Upper Perkiomen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Norristown will face off against rival Pottstown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
