The Grass Lake Warriors will challenge the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Grass Lake barely beat Leslie the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Blackhawks 16-1 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won nine matches in a row.

Bree Salts (2025) was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more RBI the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Brown (2025), who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Grass Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in four consecutive games.
Lumen Christi Catholic came out on top against Adrian on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Titans put the hurt on the Maples with a sharp 12-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Maples: they've now won three in a row.
Ollie Powers made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Powers was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last nine contests.
In other batting news, Mallory Arcaro and Ava Cumberworth did most of the damage at the plate: Arcaro went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Cumberworth went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Cumberworth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Furnas, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Grass Lake's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 26-9.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grass Lake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .521. However, it's not like Lumen Christi Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Grass Lake's way against Lumen Christi Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Grass Lake made off with a 13-2 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
