The Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Glades Day 31-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Archbishop McCarthy, who have now won five matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.
Robert Kerns continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Archbishop McCarthy also got help from Ja'Kobi Williams who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Archbishop McCarthy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Pompano Beach and 2-6 Pine Crest (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.3% over those games). As for Glades Day, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.
