Modoc had a senior duo take command as Chris Guasp posted 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Adin Benson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance gave Benson a new career-high in rebounds. Ethan Northrup also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Modoc smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Valley only pulled down nine offensive boards.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Curry, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. Curry has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Webster, who had 17 points and three steals.
The victory got Modoc back to even at 8-8. As for Central Valley, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Modoc didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-52 win against Hamilton on the 11th. Central Valley has also already played their next game, a 46-30 loss against Quincy on the 11th.
