Frenship extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region I District 4 this week by beating Hereford, 70-34. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Lubbock moved up to 552 from 634 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Westerners climbed the ranks as a result of topping Lake View 33-0.
Frenship's Trevor Lloyd and Bryndan Arredondo have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lloyd has thrown for 136 yards this season, while Arredondo has two catches for 91 yards. Daniel Miller from Plainview leads the league in rushing with 164 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region I District 4 this week will be when Brad Davis' team takes on Lubbock. At the moment, the Tigers are in first, while Jason Strunk's team is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Frenship takes on the Westerners. The Tigers have allowed 135 points this season, while Lubbock has given up 245. Frenship allowed 34 points last week as it defeated the Whitefaces.
