Baseball Recap: Beth Tfiloh Has No Trouble Against Friends

While Beth Tfiloh put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Friends. Beth Tfiloh blew past Friends 11-0. Considering the Warriors have won three contests by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Adam Steinberg and Sam Krupkin did most of the damage at the plate: Steinberg went 1-for-2 with four RBI and two runs, while Krupkin scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Steinberg has become a key player for Beth Tfiloh: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Rapkin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Beth Tfiloh hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive games.

Beth Tfiloh's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Friends, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beth Tfiloh will square off against Pallotti at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Friends, they will host St. Frances Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Friends' pitchers better be ready for this one: St. Frances Academy has averaged an impressive 17 runs per game this season.
