Prairie Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They lost  8-2 to the Fremont Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Prairie Heights of the  13-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
 Prairie Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Elijah Zolman, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run and a  stolen base.
 Even though they lost, Prairie Heights  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with five  strikeouts. This was only their 14th loss (out of 17 games) when  they post five or more  strikeouts.
 Prairie Heights' loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Fremont, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie Heights is on the road again  on Saturday to play Whitko at 10:00  a.m. Prairie Heights and Whitko are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Fremont, they will head out on the road to  take on  Wabash at 10:30  a.m.  on Saturday.
