The Meridian Hawks pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nokomis. Meridian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sebastian Hill and Lleyton Miller certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hill scored 23 points, while Miller scored 18 points. The matchup was Hill's 15th in a row with at least ten points.
Meridian bumped their record down to 9-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Nokomis, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will take on Central A & M at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nokomis, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lincolnwood at 12:00 p.m.
