After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Logan-Rogersville, Crane was happy to have turned things around on Monday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 70-69 win over the Marshfield Bluejays. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Bluejays are ranked 143rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crane's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Marshfield, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Crane will challenge Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshfield, they will face off against Rolla at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bluejays surely won't give up without a fight.
