Carson faced Reed in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Senators had just enough and edged out the Raiders 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Senators as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Carson was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-13, 15-6.
Abby Franco paced Carson's offense, picking up 21 kills. Franco got some help from Julie Salanoa and her 34 assists. Maddie Vaccaro controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Carson's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Reed, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Carson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against North Valleys on the 28th. As for Reed, they will square off against Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
