Washington County lost against Larue County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Commanders fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. The Commanders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Washington County was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Larue County work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 24-26, 26-24, 15-7.

Izzy Medley paced Washington County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Medley got some help from Kate Smith and her 32 assists. Anna Leigh Mattingly and Hailey Willis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Larue County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Washington County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Anderson County on the 14th. Larue County has also already played their next matchup (against Bardstown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
