The Indian Creek Braves are on the road again on Friday and play against the Columbia City Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on December 29th. Indian Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Columbia City likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Indian Creek beat Sullivan 66-54.
Faith Wiseman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was her 15th in a row with at least ten points. Lauren Foster was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Columbia City has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 31 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 64-26 victory over North Central at home. Given Columbia City's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while North Central is ranked 121st), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Indian Creek pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Columbia City, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
