The Knightdale Knights posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Wake Forest 61-37. Given Knightdale's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Wake Forest is ranked 518th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Knightdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Dickerson, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Dickerson posted two or more blocks. Khalel Sanders was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
The win (which was Knightdale's third in a row) raised their record to 11-4. As for Wake Forest, they bumped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knightdale will take on Heritage at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Wake Forest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wakefield at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wakefield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday.
