Ava waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Steelville Cardinals get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Ava's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Steelville, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Ava has already played their next matchup (against Potosi), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Steelville will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' game: after the Bears face off against Mountain Grove, they'll take on Steelville again on Saturday.
