Basketball Recap: North Skates Past Metro Tech with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, North was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Metro Tech Knights 67-39. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leading North to victory were Varney Kamara and Miles Swift. Kamara went 10 for 14 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds, while Swift went 7 of 16 on his way to 14 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Dwight Williams Jr., who posted seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.

North was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Metro Tech only racked up nine assists.

Despite the loss, Metro Tech still got an impressive performance from Erick Morales, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Isaac Munoz was another key player, putting up eight points.

North's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.5 points. As for Metro Tech, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

North will head out to challenge Carl Hayden Community at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season. As for Metro Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfax at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairfax also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 51.6 points per game.
