In what's become a running theme this season, the Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Tilden 104-17 at home. The win was familiar territory for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest who now have five in a row.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest had a senior duo take command as Marlon Williams dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 17 rebounds, and ten steals and Shane Foster dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fred Boyd, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tilden struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Horizon Science Academy-Southwest posted 27 assists.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest pushed their record up to 17-7 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.3 points per game. As for Tilden, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest will head out on the road to take on Instituto Health Sciences at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tilden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gage Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gage Park is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
