After losing to the Pee Dee Academy Eagles the last time they met, the Christian Academy Saints decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Christian Academy strolled past the Eagles with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 30-12.
Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Rumley out in front who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals. Carly Belle Jackson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Pee Dee Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Williamsburg Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Pee Dee Academy, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Florence Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
